Which Motor-sports event do you want to have attended? For a lot of us it's a whole lot more feasible to attend the Grand Prix in Austin than it is attend Monaco, I imagine especially if you want a good vantage point at Monaco. But it's exactly that race that I would like to have attended during some point in my life. It's a race with so much history with an awesome location, the race goes by million dollar yachts, houses and runs through the city of Monaco. Oh and some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (slight NSFW).
On the one hand the level of exclusivity and extravagance piss me off, but on the other hand it has a James Bond-like sophistication and refinement to it. Or at any rate, that's what I think of when I think of Monaco, haven't actually been there. So please do tell me if I am right or wrong about this, and share what your ultimate before-I-die motoring event is.

I'd have to agree with Monaco. Or, and since we are just talking about spectating and not racing, it would be awesome to be in a chase vehicle for the Baja 1000. Although one of my life goals is to actually run a Class 11 in the Baja 1000.

ooooh, that's a good one! It's the closest you can come to racing, but still call it spectating, haha. I'm thinking about making this a series and will definitely do one where you can talk about running class 11 :D

LeMans
Monaco seems too techno dance party, hot chicks with smelly old doucher fest for me.

I would like to compete in 1 Lap of America one year. And attend Bonneville.

What really sucks is that I almost got the chance to be in a chase vehicle. My cousin was a co-driver in a trophy truck for awhile and they were planning on running the Baja. He told me he could get me a spot on the chase vehicle (one of the really nice ones with a trailer full of spare parts), but do to unforeseen circumstances he had to cut his co-driving career short of the race. Ah oh well. I will just have to build my bug one day and get to experience it all from the front lines. haha

Monaco, Singapore (because it looks so fantastic - also for the food) or Le Mans.

NASCAR at Watkins Glen....because race car!

24 Hours of Daytona. Chance of me going 85% in the next two years. I know a team owner in GTD and have an offer to stay in the team paddock during the race.
USGP at COTA. Chance of me going %25 in the next two years. I have a place to stay in Austin and several friends that want to go, just need to take the time to do it.
24 Hours of Le Mans. Chance of me going 1%.
Indy 500. Chance of me going 5%.

I definitely intend on going to some Nascar races, I think I'll start with MIS (Michigan Int'l Speedway).

Well, watkins Glen is the closest race to me, (I live in Murica's hat) so I'm defintely going to try to go before I die!

Haha yeah, I have no idea of the chances of me going to Monaco. I do regularly go to Europe, so maybe I can tack it onto a trip. Really wouldn't be comfortable putting a number to it at this point.
Definitely want to make it to COTA, my mom gave me F1-Race-Attendance for my graduation... 3 years ago. I should probably take advantage of that sooner rather than later.

Le Mans and driving the Nurburgring, and hopefully sooner than later...

That would be one hell of an experience, with some parts actual-hell, haha.

For now I will be attending the Indy 500 later this month. It was never really a bucket list event for me, because I'm not a big fan of oval tracks, but I still expect it to be pretty awesome.

Singapore would be an awesome vacation destination I'm sure.

Oooh Bonneville would be cool, how hard is it to actually enter a car? I imagine they require a roll cage.

Yes, most likely will be. From what I hear the event as a whole, everything that goes on before/after/during the race is quite an experience as well.

F1 at Spa. Because Eau Rouge.

That's what I've heard too. Definitely looking forward to it. Gonna bring my GoPro and get my brother to bring his DSLR so I can get some awesome video/pics.

Yeah, don't lose that opportunity.
I have a customer in Hungary that I keep joking that I should visit during the GP. I think I am joking. Or not. Hmm. How to make that happen...

There are a lot of requirements and you are limited in how fast you can go depending on experience... You can't just drive down there and go for 200mph in your stock car.

lol, just go for it, haha.

LeMans.
Because history and the fastest racecars on the planet (that take corners too).
Also 24 hours and multiple classes of awesome.

I'm so fortunate that I've been able to attend a lot of the red letter events. Still on my list I have the Dakar Rally, Spa, Monza and Japan GPs. I also want to go see swamp buggy races down in Florida.
Things I've done/been to:
Lemons
Goodwood FOS
Indy 500 + a number of other Indycar races
24 Hours of Le Mans
Long Beach GP
Unlimited Hydroplanes in Seattle
US Nationals
24 Hours of Daytona
NASCAR at Talladega
MotoGP at Indy
Reno Air Races
There are a bunch of other races and events I've been to, but these are the biggies.

How awesome was Le Mans?
Goodwood is one I'd also like to attend. MotoGP would be awwweeesssoommme as well.

Le Mans is pretty much as amazing and awful as you would think. I did a couple of write ups last year if you want all the details.

Goodwood is just amazing. Best non race related motorsports event I've been to. No ropes, people are cool and the cars are amazing. I talked with Dan Gurney for 15 minutes, almost got ran over by Frank Williams, saw Richard Petty get mobbed by a bunch of Brits, and got a tour of the Mitsubishi factory WRC car (it was a few years ago). So worth it.

I wouldn't go to compete, just to watch and see all the cars.
